Julie and James had such a pretty wedding day in Huntsville last weekend! Their ceremony was held at St. John the Baptist, then everyone headed over to the Westin for the reception. I enjoyed getting to learn a little bit more about Julie and James through the sweet words spoken about them at their ceremony and reception. It is clear these two have a very special bond, and there was so much love surrounding them on this special day. Julie and James met at Birmingham Southern and eventually became best friends for several years before starting to date. (You may remember their sweet engagement session at BSC a few months ago.) It was great to see them tie the knot and celebrate with their family and friends! And, man, do they all know how to celebrate in style. Their reception was a blast, and everyone (no matter what age) danced all night long!
Thank you to the always wonderful Taylor Haynie for shooting with me – you will see some of her images throughout this post! And thank you to Julie and James for asking us to be a part of your day! We had a blast, especially with the carousel photos. :) Enjoy!
James arranged for the monks from his prep school to perform their wedding ceremony. They were AMAZING, and the words they spoke were so thoughtful and, at times, hilarious!
Loved this mix of soft colors, and it was such a happy surprise to see irises included in the bridesmaids bouquets! They’re so pretty!
After we took some portraits in the courtyard, Julie asked if we could take a few photos on the carousel nearby. Of course, I gave an immediate YEAH!
Certainly not a bad way to end the night: being serenaded by all of your guests to Piano Man! Loved this!
Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Romines!
